If you live in Omaha, you’re invited to take part in our on-site Fit Minded program. Please contact Fit Minded.
Fit Minded is a program that was started by Physical Activity and Health Promotion Expert Dr. Jennifer Huberty at the University of Nebraska at Omaha. Dr. Huberty and her team facilitate Fit Minded book club meetings onsite in Omaha.
If you live in or near Omaha, you’re welcome to come in person to participate in the actual book club meetings.
But if you don’t live near Omaha (or even if you do live near Omaha but would rather not participate in person), you can become a member of Fit Minded online!
In Omaha, weekly book club meetings are audio—and videotaped. Depending on which Membership Level you choose, you may independently follow along with the activity program and listen to audio recordings of the weekly club meeting, or you may participate live via video.
Each week you’ll be asked to read a portion of a book and do some thinking and writing about what you’ve read. You will also receive a Fit Minded workbook that contains reflective activities such as goal setting and barrier busting. Members wear a pedometer and start tracking the number of steps they take in a pedometer diary, too. A blog, chatroom and even live online support are available as well.
In short, you can interact with Fit Minded when, where, and how it’s convenient for you.
